How You’ll Make and Impact

The Senior Website Experience Manager will work with multiple business groups as well as with agencies to monitor and manage the health of websites, create new web content and enhance and optimize existing websites. Technical skills are also required including experience designing pages and publishing content in Content Management Systems such as Optimizely (Episerver) and Drupal.  Experience using HTML and CSS is also required. The chosen candidate must have an ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines. You should be passionate about the web, utilizing new and existing technologies, solving complex problems and driving issues to resolution. 

In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • Managing and supporting the corporate website and ensure they deliver on engagement and conversion goals. Includes identification of problems and opportunities to improve content and site performance, testing and maintaining websites for accessibility and usability and organizing and managing media content / coding assets within CMS.
  • Create and execute an SEO strategy and roadmap to ensure optimal search engine rankings.
  • Configure/build and optimize new landing pages and promotions.
  • Balance the visual appeal of how content is displayed on the websites with the function of how consumers find and experience the websites.
  • Advise on how to bring campaigns, new products, initiatives, etc to life on our websites, bringing the necessary teams together and coordinating cross-functional execution.
  • Review and create site optimization plans and roadmaps based on performance metrics, trends, business objectives, etc.
  • Working with multiple business groups to translate business objectives into web projects, content and plans. Implementing social media integration and utilization to meet business needs. Understanding and incorporating audience segments and web personas into content work.
  • Managing agency and vendor partnerships by preparing for status calls, inputting support tickets, coordinating user network access, briefing scopes of work, and managing project burn
  • Overseeing and planning for long-term enhancements to the tech stack and digital properties, with an emphasis on an enterprise-wide solution
  • Managing business budget, track expenses, and submit invoices for payment
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion

What You’ll Need

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field
  • Strong knowledge of design tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite
  • Solid understanding of best UI/UX practices, including responsive design
  • Strong knowledge of accessibility standards and practices, including WCAG 2
  • Experience with brand guidelines and pattern libraries
  • Experience with analytics and data-driven design, such as A/B/n testing
  • Experience with CMS platforms, such as Drupal
  • Expert knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Strong knowledge of SEO strategies, including content and technical optimizations
  • Familiarity with Optimizely (Episerver) or other eCommerce platforms
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
  • Must be a self-starter, motivated, can work independently and multi-task
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and an aptitude for learning new technologies or techniques
  • Highly organized with relentless attention to detail
  • Effective at following and documenting processes
  • Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
  • Effectively communicates with agencies and vendors, including other designers or developers
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
