Validation Analyst

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform different levels of testing which may include boundary/unit testing, system testing, usability/GUI testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Support professional services group with customer requests of documentation and questions regarding verification kits and testing of different scenarios.
  • Makes decisions during test phases based on reported defects by defining and executing the appropriate validation and verification plan.
  • Support the writing of end-user training methods and technical documentation to promote and enhance the company’s sales service and profitability.
  • Support performance testing and stress load testing of the product functionality by assisting with data configuration, definition of testing plan and execution of the testing plan.
  • Planning and coordination of verification activities for software project implementations. This includes creation, modification and revision of verification and validation deliverables defined by the SDLC process.
  • Find software defects and report them in the quality tracking system. Cooperate with developers and product management to help in issue resolution. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Bio-Technology, Bio-Chemistry, or related degree. Alternatively, candidates may possess an equivalent combination of work and education experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in relevant role(s).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with customer engagement and communication.
  • Experience with Software Testing and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
  • Prior experience or exposure with Lab environment.
  • Prior experience in writing technical documentation.
  • Experience with implementation methodologies such as Agile/Scrum.
  • Experience with creating and using APIs, specifically SOAP and REST web services is a plus.
  • Prior experience with LIMS testing is a plus.
  • Experience in medical device applications and other regulated environments is a plus.
  • License and certifications not required, but a plus
