Corporate Counsel

With multiple support centers throughout the world, STARLIMS solutions are used in labs across multiple industries and disciplines including pharma & biotech, life sciences, food & beverage, manufacturing, petrochemical refineries and oil & gas, chemical, public health, forensics and environmental.

Specifically, our Legal team at STARLIMS is looking to hire a Corporate Counsel (and the second member of its Legal team). This is an incredible opportunity to gain negotiation, privacy, IP and international experience (to name a few). The successful candidate will play a critical role in the development and execution of our legal and compliance strategy and initiatives. We can’t wait to have you on board. 

The Role:

Reporting to and closely partnering with our General Counsel, your responsibilities will evolve depending on the needs of the business and your career aspirations and interests, but will include:
  • Negotiating software, services and other agreements with customers
  • Structuring and negotiating agreements with third party service providers, including vendors and distribution partners
  • Working on various initiatives regarding privacy and compliance
  • Coordinating with outside counsel on matters of international law
  • Corporate maintenance of over a dozen international entities
  • Supporting additional initiatives like marketing and advertising review, corporate and capital markets transactions, intellectual property strategy, dispute resolution, and subsidiary formation and management, to name a few

Who You Are/What You Have:

  • You are proactive and have the ability and desire to “figure things out.”
  • You have a passion for negotiating contracts, and can protect your organization in matters of intellectual property, indemnification, and liability
  • Experience advising high-growth and quick-moving businesses in regulated and/or software industries
  • Ability to take ownership of multiple projects and to balance and communicate priorities
  • Enthusiasm for working in a multicultural and multinational team
  • 3+ years of relevant experience; in-house experience is preferred, as well as candidates from law firms
  • Sense of humor

  • Role can be based in our offices in Fort Lauderdale Florida or remote
