Global Compensation & Benefits Specialist

Global Compensation and Benefit Specialist will be responsible for managing the implementation of the company’s compensation, benefits and performance programs. In conjunction with the CHRO, compensation and benefit specialist will develop and implement new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures to align with the company’s goals and competitive practices. This position is also responsible for ensuring that company compensation, benefit and performance programs are consistently administered in compliance government regulations and business expectations.

One large project initiative is for grade and comp alignment across the board.  So someone who has done this before and can compile reports and data together to present case. Someone who is proficient with excel and can perhaps suggest future software to help in this space.  We are also looking for someone with global comp experience.  As well as multi state experience.  SHRM cert isn’t required but a plus.

Duties & Responsibilites:

  • Manages the implementation and administration of compensation and benefit programs
  • Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and business objectives
  • Provides advice to CHRO on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations
  • Designs creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs and incentive plans
  • Develops techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data
  • Oversees the participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure company compensation objectives are achieved
  • Partners with global benefit brokers to ensure benefit programs are compliant and cost effective
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with senior leadership

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, human resources or related field and 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in compensation/benefits
  • At least one year of experience managing subordinates
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and/or certified compensation professional credentials preferred
