The Accountant Position

As an accountant, your primary focus will be to assist one of our engagement partners with maintaining a client’s financial records and consulting in a manner that helps the company achieve their financial goals. Your job will include budgeting, financial management, strategic planning, bookkeeping, preparing government audits and taxes, among other responsibilities. As this is a client-facing role, you’ll also work to communicate dry topics in a way that’s clear and engaging to individuals without a strong background in finance. 

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the accountant position is: 

  • A phenomenal communicator 
  • Outgoing, respectful, and loves building lasting relationships with people 
  • Dissatisfied with the traditional accounting role of number-crunching behind a desk and wants a change 
  • An accountant who wants to break out of the “boring accountant” reputation 

Position Requirements 

  • 5-12 years of accounting experience 
  • Strong technical accounting skills 
  • CPA license 
  • Experienced with using tax software like CCH by Wolters Kluwer
