Enterprise Risk Analyst

The Role:

The Enterprise Risk Analyst works as part of the ERM Team to review, evaluate and manage risks across the organization. The ERM Team is responsible for reviewing, planning, and coordinating ERM efforts throughout the organization, including the organization’s response to safety and non-safety related events, as well as managing strategic risks and providing risk consultation to other organizational leaders.

As a member of the ERM Team, the Enterprise Risk Analyst supports risk management efforts by being the primary staff responsible for maintaining the Electronic Incident Reporting System and managing the organization’s responses to event-based risks. This position also maintains and communicates event-based risk metrics to the Director of Enterprise Risk Management and other organizational leaders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the electronic incident reporting system.
  • Oversees and monitors each incident report, from submission to closure, to assure appropriate follow through has occurred with each event reported.
  • Provides follow-up activities with Incident Report authors to assure each IR contains complete and accurate information.
  • Collaborates with risk owners, organizational leaders, and staff to develop responses to event-based risks.
  • Partners with cross functional work teams on the implementation of process improvements, quality improvements, and corrective action plans.
  • Conducts a regular review of the incident reporting system and its metrics to observe and report trends.
  • Develops and communicates reports for the Director of Enterprise Risk Management and other organizational leaders to inform risk based strategic decisions.
  • Maintains up to date knowledge and expertise on ERM and applies this knowledge to trends, metrics, and novel scenarios related to event based risks.
  • Develops, updates, and conducts training relevant to incident reports and the incident reporting system.
  • Demonstrates attentiveness, responsiveness, and prompt follow-up to all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Acts as a consultant to support departments and organizational leaders in a variety of risk related scenarios.
  • Fills in for the Director of Enterprise Risk Management in resolving high risk events, as needed.
  • Adheres to all state and federal privacy regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, and to CCC policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security. 
  • Supports compliance with all privacy and security requirements pursuant to all patient confidentiality agreements, including privacy and security requirements for EMR access.  This includes immediately reporting any breach of protected health information or personal identification information of any person receiving CCC services by CCC or an outside provider to the CCC Compliance Department, as well as to your supervisor or their designee.

DESCRIPTION OF OTHER DUTIES:

  • Participate in professional development activities and required trainings.
  • Support other ERM activities as assigned and attend internal and external meetings as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required – Bachelor’s degree: Preferably in health-care, public administration, policy, business, or a related field.
  • Required- Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in the fields of health care, HUD housing, and/or other related fields.
  • Required- Experience at a state or federally qualified/certified health center.
  • Required- Responsibility for conducting root cause analyses using enterprise risk related concepts, practices, and procedures, including methods of documentation.
  • Required- Knowledge of and experience with health care and/or HUD housing systems, particularly knowledge of risk, service recovery, medical malpractice, insurance and critical event reporting.
  • Required- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, electronic incident reporting systems, and electronic risk management systems.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull, lift and climb stairs.
